1. Introduction
JTMConnect ("we", "our", or "the Service") is a remote desktop support tool developed for government departments. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Service.
2. Information We Collect
JTMConnect is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:
- Session IDs: Temporary 6-character identifiers used to establish remote connections. These are generated randomly and expire when the session ends.
- Connection Logs: Server logs may record connection timestamps and IP addresses for troubleshooting purposes. These logs are retained temporarily and regularly purged.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect or store:
- Personal identification information (names, emails, phone numbers)
- User accounts or profiles
- Screen recordings or screenshots
- Keystrokes or mouse movements
- Files or documents from your computer
- Browsing history or application usage
4. How Remote Sessions Work
When you use JTMConnect for remote support:
- All remote control data is transmitted via peer-to-peer (P2P) connection using WebRTC technology
- Data is encrypted end-to-end between the client and technician
- The signaling server only facilitates the initial connection and does not have access to session content
- No session data is recorded or stored on our servers
5. User Consent
Remote sessions require explicit consent:
- Technicians cannot connect without the client clicking "Accept"
- Clients can disconnect at any time
- Each new session requires new consent
6. Data Security
We implement security measures to protect your information:
- End-to-end encryption for all remote sessions using industry-standard protocols
- No permanent data storage reduces risk of data breaches
- Regular security updates to address vulnerabilities
7. Third-Party Services
JTMConnect uses public STUN servers (provided by Google) for WebRTC connection establishment. These servers help facilitate NAT traversal but do not have access to session content.
8. Data Retention
Since we do not store personal data or session content, there is no data retention period. Session IDs expire immediately when sessions end. Server connection logs are purged regularly.
9. Your Rights
As we do not collect personal data, there is no personal information to access, modify, or delete. If you have questions about server logs, contact us at the email below.
10. Children's Privacy
JTMConnect is intended for government department use and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
